
Amos Ochieng
Dr Amos Ochieng is a Lecturer and Researcher at Makerere University, Kampala Uganda. He holds BSc tourism management (Makerere University, Uganda), MSc tourism, environment and society, and PhD (Wageningen University and Research, the Netherlands). He is currently the country coordinator for the Radboud University-Makerere University Erasmus+ collaboration involving both staff and student exchanges. His research interests are in the areas of tourism and biodiversity conservation, sport hunting, ecological restoration, community wellbeing, climate change, climate justice, gender equality, biodiversity governance and sustainability, as well as understanding how these aspects affect participatory decision-making in any setting. He also offers consultancy services to government, civil society organisations and private sector at both national and international levels.
