
Karembe F. Ahimbisibwe
Karembe F. Ahimbisibwe holds a doctorate in International Development Studies from the University of Jyväskylä, Finland, where he is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher. He is a Lecturer in the Department of Adult and Community Education at Makerere University, Uganda, where he teaches Philosophy, Political Economy, Gender and Literacy Studies, Grassroots Learning, and Citizenship, among others. He has researched and published in areas such as citizenship, participatory learning, village associations and self-help, the COVID-19 pandemic, and NGOs in Uganda. His work has been published by Routledge, Palgrave Macmillan, Global Society, International Development Planning Review, and Third World Quarterly, among others. His research interests include citizenship, everyday resistance, participatory research and development, village associationism, pandemic precarity, and NGOs.
