
Bosco Chinkonda
Bosco is an interdisciplinary PhD Researcher with the University of Glasgow and Malawi Hub’s Grants and Partnerships Manager. A Social Scientist, Bosco excels in the development and use of participatory and creative engagement methods in applied interdisciplinary research, community engagement, and health systems strengthening in Africa.
Bosco is one of the lead researchers on a One Health implementation research programme in Malawi, facilitating community participation and One Health collaborations and partnerships between government, civil society, academia, and communities for successful health outcomes. Beyond his interest in designing and implementing collaborative approaches to Africa’s health challenges, Bosco holds interests in improving food systems and education in Malawi. He is a founding co-lead in the Malawi Chapter of the UN-FAO World Food Forum and a founding co-director of the education-focused NGO, Maphunziro 265.
From his experience working between the civil society and academia, he has developed a strong belief in the power of innovation and meaningful collaboration as tools for development.
